Today again a good example of the impact of our project: Madhu was born in the slums to a single mother. She came to Sunshine as a very young girl and finished school with a high school diploma. Afterwards she did her Bachelor Degree in economics. Along the way, Madhu studied the German language, which she speaks fluently today. She also earned a little money on the side as an assistant for the project. Since this week Madhu is working for Amazon India. She is still using our shelter as her home office, but when the lockdown is lifted, Madhu will move to Bangalore to take up her job at the headquarters. We couldn't be prouder!!!! Our own vaccination camp!!!! @arorapriti29 has been calling her fingers to the bone to let us set up our own vaccination camps at the private hospital. 137 vaccinated we count until today, 2 more vaccination camps are planned for Monday and Wednesday next week. Many first need confirmation that they exist at all.... our Sunshine team is working non-stop to get the processes meshed as quickly as possible, so hopefully by the end of the month we will have all 400 vaccinees through #vaccinationdone✔️ #bestteamever ❤️ #sunshineprojectindia

Since the exams were cancelled due to the pandemic

Since the exams were cancelled due to the pandemic, our 12th grade students will receive their high school diploma with a calculated average grade for the last 2 years! We are very, very proud of our 23 high school graduates and we will continue to accompany and support them in the next chapter of their lives. In order to protect the children and their families from the virus as much as possible, we not only distribute soap, masks and disinfectants, but we also disinfect the children's living area 2 to 3 times a week. BoxMeo @box_meo is a German start up company that wanted to find a simple solution for the hygienic use of masks for the poorest people in the world. So they developed this box that uses solar energy to inactivate the coronaviruses on the mask.
